A DIFFERENT WAY IN
WHAT IS ART THERAPY?
Often difficult emotions and experiences are hard to talk about. Feelings of anxiety, fear, anger, sadness, shame, frustration, and numbness can take over. Trauma, regret, and painful memories can be overwhelming.Art therapy is a safe, gentle, and clinically supported way to work with these complex feelings and experiences. We use pencils, paint, clay, and other materials in a guided expressive process that many clients find therapeutic. We explore insights at your pace, making sure you feel supported at every step.No art experience needed - only a willingness to play.

IT FEELS GOOD TO MAKE SOMETHING
BENEFITS OF ART THERAPY
Studies have shown that art therapy can be helpful for people living with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, mood disorders, neurodivergent conditions, chronic illness, substance abuse, and other mental health challenges. It is useful for people wishing to explore their identities, relationships, and attachments.According to the American Art Therapy Association, art therapy is seen to "improve cognitive and sensorimotor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress."Art therapy is suitable for adults, children, and seniors, and can be experienced in a one-on-one, couple, family, or group setting. You don't need fancy materials - art can be made with pencils, pens, and materials you have around your home. Apart from online, it is offered in a variety of locations including hospitals, schools, psychiatric clinics, and rehabilitation centres. Please note: if you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or are in crisis, art therapy is not suitable. Please seek emergency help. Dial 999 in the U.K., 911 in the U.S./Canada, 112 for many parts of Europe and Asia.
